: Random silly update
Heya hotdogs.

: Sweet sweet progress! (And Newsletter)
Wooooooooooo!
Everybody give
your neighbor a hug.... BB has cleared out the roadblock
that was Gen. Rajaxx, and then made quite a show of
Buru. Nice!

I had a
couple of news updates to bring to your attention, so
please scroll down to view our
October Newsletter. Information about extra point
opportunities, raid schedules, party schedules, and
other important stuff is all in there. Be sure to
check it out!

Burrito
Bandits Mondo October Newsletter!
AQ
Progress:
A
re-congratulations to everybody who attended this week's
AQ20 raids! With Rajaxx out of the way, we now
have access to lots of new, rewarding encounters.
We already gave Buru what-for, and I'm looking forward
to doing it again. Not only are we experiencing
new content and getting awesome drops, but I also
believe that this recent Rajaxx/Buru victory will
probably re-invigorate Sunday as a raiding day.
The Party!
The
Burrito Bandits 1-year birthday is coming up on the 5th!
The party will not be until later in October. Here
is the current party invite info:
Burrito
Bandits one-year birthday celebration!
Date: Saturday, October 21st
Time: 7:00pm server time
Where: Brill
Who is invited? Everyone!
Screenshots:
As
you can see, our usual "victory screenshot" is
represented by a little MS Paint doodle that I did.
I don't currently own a file conversion program, so all
screenshots are just sitting around as .tga files in my
screenshot list, and not on sitting around on the
website. :( If you would like to submit a
screenshot converted to .jpg or .gif format, please feel
free to
e-mail it to me. You also may want to keep
reading down to the section of this newsletter entitled
"Extra Credit - Member Jobs".
Raiding
Schedule Change:
To keep up the good rhythm we had down this passing
week, I'm extending our weekly raid calendar to
consistently include Monday as a second AQ20 day.
The updated weekly calendar is viewable on the forums,
accessible via
this link.
New
TeamSpeak Server:
We now have
a 40-man capacity TeamSpeak server, hooray! Become
acquainted with the new information, it's listed in the
"Guild Information" section of the Social - Guild tab
in-game.
Raiding
Concerns:
There
have been a few raiding rumors and suggestions floating
around that I would like to address.
--Are we
going to can ZG raids in order to raid AQ20 more?
Not
until Hakkar is dead a lot!
--I
can only raid 2 days a week, I'm afraid I'm going to
fall behind.
Check out
the part of this newsletter entitled "Extra Credit -
Member Jobs" if you're worried about points.
--Am
I allowed to sell a spell book after I win it?
No!
I will be watching this closely, so please learn a spell
right away after you receive the book.
--Can we work on Jin'do? Pleeease?
See my
answer to the ZG/AQ20 question.
--Will we ever raid on Friday or Saturday?
Probably
not.
--Can we change the bidding so that people bid however
high they want, right off the bat?
No, that's
a lot like gambling. I think the auction format
keeps things under control.
--Will there be a Mono/Poj election later in the year?
:O
Maybe. Just in case there is, I'm going to start making posters now.
Extra
Credit - Member Jobs:
Due
to a growing workload on me and a general concern
regarding point competition, I have decided to open up a
few opportunities for people to earn "extra credit" that
will result in the acquiring of additional raid points.
Abudiabudie, Otter, and Monoxxide.... sort of... were
the guild members that brought this idea to mind.
Here are some potential ways that people can earn raid
points. Please note that they aren't simple, and
that the number of points you would receive would be
objective based on the quality of the job performed.
None of these jobs would yield more than the point
equivalent of 2 full raids per week.
--"Recruiting Officer":
There may be points available to somebody who can make
it their goal to watch the forum for new apps and
respond back to them in a timely manner. This
person must stay extremely astute in the needs of the
guild, and must be willing to reject some applicants
where necessary.
--Potions/raid mats:
We can always use potions. If you supply a great
deal of potions to a raid, especially if it's a raid you
cannot attend, you may receive point compensation.
Repair bots, wizard oils, and other things of this sort
in large numbers are also good.
--Website Material:
Providing screenshots, boss write-ups, loot summaries,
features, or any other information to the website would
be a HUGE help to me. With school and work,
there's no way in hell I have time to write everything
myself. Submissions would be great!
--Gear-upper:
For lack of a better term, a "gear-upper" would be
somebody responsible for leading gear/attunement/key
runs through all of the non-raid 60 instances. In
order to get credit, I would need to see written
summaries of the instances.
--Other: Do
you have a $$ idea? Let Poj know how you can help,
and I may consider it!
Eonar's
Loss:
As most of
you already know, one of Eonar's most famous is no
longer with us. Burrito Bandits offers its
condolences to the friends and family of Animalmother,
in-game and out. If you wish to leave a note on
the devoted thread in the Eonar forums, the link is
here. There's a little pirate hat icon on the
top of the front page in his honor.
In
Conclusion:
October has already been a big month for us! Let's
keep up this great pace and focus on showing Hakkar what
the Burritos are made of.
