04/30/2006:
Kurinaxx can't hide under
any more giant sofas....
....Because we squashed him like the bug he
is! Congratulations to the Burrito
Bandits, allied guild
Dominon,
and company! Through epic efforts, the
first boss in AQ20 finally fell. This
is the first boss ever downed to be
associated with this guild, so this is big
news! Yippee! Congratulations to
everybody involved--this experience will be
written in the pages of Burrito Bandits
history forever. Everybody did an
awesome job. The end.
Oh wait, that's right..... he dropped some
loot, too:
[Grimoire of Shadowbolt X]
- Helldemona
[Toughened Silithid Gloves]
- Ahota
[Qiraji Regal Drape]
- Poj
Congratulations everybody!
Want to come to a future raid? No
problem! Continued raids to AQ20 will
commence every Saturday at 10pm server time.
You can continue to sign up through
Dominion's calendar. Also, be sure
to sign up for the FOLLOW-UP RAID to be done
on Sunday before the instance resets.
Or, if you can only make it to Saturday
or Sunday's raid, sign up for the one
you can go to. Also, check out the
strategies thread in the BB forums.
All useful stuff will be posted there.
Important:
Make
sure you get the Ventrilo client! We
will be using the new Burrito Bandits
Ventrilo channel to communicate verbally
during raids from now on.
Click here to download it if you don't
have it already.
Coming Soon:
Otter's "Carebear Corner" will hopefully be
up by tomorrow or the day after.
Coming Soon:
A
report on our party by our very own on-site
reporter, Acabiscuit!

04/26/2006:
This Just in: Ahota pwns
n00bs
Everybody give a big hand to our newest
Warlord, Ahota! Yay! Making rank 13 is no
walk in the park! Ahota was almost too
humble to pose for a picture, but I caught
him as he was loitering around outside the
battlegrounds queues. I remember back when
we PvPed leveling through the 40s and 50s
brackets.... guess it goes to show the good
times ain't over yet. Way to go Ahota,
you're truly an outstanding player
well-deserving of the effort. Also,
congratulations to Diggles for hitting rank
11, another PvP career milestone! I know a
lot more of you ranked up this week as well,
and your efforts were not overlooked (I
updated the members page accordingly with
your ranks!). Congratulations on an
outstanding collaborative effort guys, you
make me proud to be the Supreme Taco of such
an awesome guild. Keep up the great work.
In the meantime, we are still looking for
people to fill out spots in AQ20.
If you're still interested, click
here to sign up. Check out my
AQ Packing List to see what you should
bring, there's some good information to be
found about Nature Resist gear, and the
like. There's also some good links in our
forums, courtesy of our own Burrito, Aile.
Also, if you've got any warrior friends,
send them in the direction of the signup.
We could use everybody at this point, but we
are especially short on warriors. Thank
you!

04/23/2006: Our Raiding
Debut
That's right... this Saturday will be the
Burrito Bandits' first ever introduction
into the world of end-game raiding!
Whoopee! We will be running through
The Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj with neighbor guild
<Dominion>. I want *every*
eligible player to sign up who can make it.
I made a post in our forums with more
information. To get to the post, click
here. To sign up, click
here. This instance is all about
nature resistance. To get a few easy
items, look into getting a Maraudon raid
together. You can skip right to the
bosses for phat NR lewts. Look forward
to seeing you there!
Another schedule change (courtesy of Bastart):
Wednesdays and Thursdays, there will be an
emphasis on running dungeons for Fire Resist
gear. When we obtain enough, we are
looking into possibly running MC with
another guild on these same days.
In other news, thanks for showing up to the
guild party! Acabiscuit was on the
scene taking some snapshots. Hopefully
those will be on the website in due time.
:)
Note: The Membership Roster and Guild
Bank sections have not been updated because
I haven't had time yet. I hope to have
those sections updated by tomorrow.

04/18/2006: Desperate plea from
Poj!
Before I get to the plea, I just
wanted to congratulate all those that
leveled up and/or ranked this week.
Great job guys! I'm proud to see you
all moving along the way you are.
Also, thank you to everybody who has been
donating to the guild bank. We have an
amazing stock now, feel free to request at
will. We have 5 million recipes of
assorted kinds.
Now, the plea: With our guild getting
so large so quickly, I am really in need of
some help managing things. I posted a
list of possible jobs last week.... please
continue to look those over. There's
too much organizational work here anymore
for it to just be one person's job. I
still need one or two
schedulers,
a
recruiting manager,
an
"instigator",
and
web advisor.
Go to
our forum to view descriptions of each
of these, and to express your interest.
Help your old Supreme Taco out! Until
I have people to fill these positions, I've
made a tentative and *optional* weekly
schedule, excluding exact times (I don't
want to get too strict):
Sunday:
5-man
Monday:
Warlord's Command and Onyxia key line**
Tuesday:
Group
PvP
Wednesday:
5-man
Thursday:
5-man
Friday:
Group PvP
Saturday:
Free day!
**I would really like to get people
started/finished with their Warlord's
Command lines, so I have assigned a specific
day just for that (this would include LBRS,
UBRS and the World Dragons, though probably
not all on the same day).

04/17/2006: 100 Members and the party!
It's a glorious day indeed.... the Burrito
Bandits have achieved a roster of over 100
members! To celebrate that (and
several other noteworthy things), the
Bandits will be holding a first-class,
open-invitation party. The party will
give our new members a chance to meet each
other, and a chance for out-of-guilders to
get drunk! If you still wish to become
a member, we are still recruiting and the
party would be a great place to bring your
questions. :)
view the invitation!
Officer Duties: I'm
also in the middle of trying to assign
specific officer duties.... the most
important being somebody who would be
willing to configure a schedule for PvP
groupings and instance runs.
For now, I'm going to make Thursdays and
Saturdays "Guild PvP Days".
Aside from those days, we'll do our regular
5 and/or 10-man instance runs for phat lewts.
If you're an officer (or a non-officer who
is looking for a promotion), here are a few
of the things I'm looking for help with.
I can't run this ship on my own!
--PvP / PvE schedule management.
I'm looking for somebody who can create a
*loose* weekly calendar with events and
approximate times. I'm more concerned
about scheduling for PvP, as we seem to do
PvE mostly now anyways.
--Web advisor.
Looking for somebody who would be willing to
write a little news blurb once a week and
come up with a picture for the homepage,
like I usually do. :) Also
somebody who would be willing to give
continual feedback on the website and its
functionality.
--Recruiting specialist.
Someone
who would be willing to actively seek out
new recruits in lower to mid-level zones.
This person would also be responsible for
helping to review applications.
This same information is posted on the guild
forum. To volunteer your help in one
or more of these areas, go to the guild
forum's "Announcements" section and make a
post.

04/10/2006: Welcome,
new members!
We are glad to have all of you with us!
I look forward to exploring more of this
game's content with willing Burritos.
Thank you all for making this guild exciting
and even more full of "attitude" than it
already was! Fear not..... if you are
not yet part of the guild and wish to become
so, we are still recruiting.
If you wish to view our official recruitment
notice,
Other stuff that's going on:
--New schedules, maybe.
I might try to start scheduling specific
events, such as guild WSG and/or AB matches.
This was founded as a PvP guild, and I don't
want to lose sight of that due to the
emergence of the 0.5 sets.... we should be
able to do both easily and I might try to
devise a loose schedule for those who wish
to partake PvP and PvE. We shall see!
--I
updated the
Membership
Roster
(link removed 03/27/07)
and the
Banditobank page (both of which
were in desperate need of some love).
If you notice an error with your character
and/or your alts on the member page, let me
know. Also, send me an in-game
letter with your professions or put them in
your guild note. Otherwise, I
won't know what they are!
--Introducing "Burrito Loot"!
I'm currently looking for feedback on our
brand new raiding instance loot system
before we get a chance to break it in.
Let me know what you think, you can find it
either in About Us or by clicking
here.
--The Weekly "Congrats!"
Congratulations to Fister for hitting
Friendly Reputation with the Timbermaw
Furbolgs and to Xyth for achieving Exalted
with Alterac Valley. Great job guys!
Also, congratulations to everyone who got
some phat lewt from DM, Scholo and beyond in
the last few days. Lots of flawless
runs, we're kicking some ass.
--Herbalshaman announces his retirement.
A sad day indeed, we'll miss you Herb.
--Banditobank is our new tabard model on the
"About Us" page.
Because that old picture made my ass look
big.
--Poj Artwork!
If you were ever curious to see my drawing
style, I did this week's homepage drawing.
Hooray!
Upcoming:
--Weather Feature, by seasoned reporter Poj.
--That silly little feature about that
island getaway I was talking about.
Still not done, but it's coming, I promise.

04/01/2006: Up and running!
Hooray!! The new server is *finally*
up! This means you'll once again be
able to expect regular updates, along with
more graphic-heavy content, and other good
things!! I'm quite excited! I'm
also excited because we have a lot of
exciting new guild things going on.
I'm working on a few guild alliances
(hopefully), along with some other new
events both on and off the web. Browse
around! I've added a bzillion new
features, including more screenshots and
long-awaited
Poj Faction Rewards! You can't
miss this!
