This system is in development. As
we are not yet running any real raid
dungeons, these rules have yet to take
effect on anything we do. Please
send me feedback on this system, whether
it's in-game or through e-mail. I
realize there is no real way to test it
until we actually start raiding, but it
would be nice to get some opinions
before we test it concretely.

The Principle of Burrito Loot:
Fairness.
On any given raid, on any given item,
anyone in the raid who needs and will
use the item has a chance at
obtaining it. This system is also
designed so that players of all
schedules and guilds can receive equal
participation in raids. There will
also be no "main" class privileges.
That is to say that our "main tanks"
will not simply be given items
automatically because they are main
tanks, and so forth.
The Six Conditions of Burrito Loot:
1. Initial Pass.
Loot will be on "Master Looter".
All items that are BoE (aside from rares
and epics) will be saved until the end
of the raid to roll on.
Everyone passes initially on all dropped
rare or epic items
(BOE and BOP).
2. Rolls and the "Grande Roll".
Per instance raid, all players will
receive one Grande Roll and endless
regular rolls for items that they need.
The Grande roll permits you to roll a
50-200
once a raid instead of the
standard
0-100.
It will be made clear when you are able
to roll and what you should do
beforehand. Grande rolls cannot be
saved to carry over into another raid.
3. Item Announcement and claiming
an item.
After the raid has passed on all dropped
items, there will be a number of
statements by the Announcer that will
precede rolling on and handing out
items. Specifics:
a. After passing
initiall on all drops,
you will be asked by the
announcer to name your roll
on the first item. At this
point, anyone who wishes to
roll on the item may send
the Announcer a tell
stating
"Roll"
or
"Grande".
If you wish to pass, do not
send the Announcer a tell at
all and it will be assumed
that you pass. Do not
roll yet.
b. After there is a
chance for the raid to state
their interest in an item,
The announcer will call off
who is rolling, and *how*
they will be rolling.
If you want to make a last
minute change, send the
announcer a tell again.
c. After it is clear
who will be rolling on
select items and how
they will be rolling, the
Announcer will say
"Rolls Commence."
At this point, if you were
one of the declared rollers,
either roll your standard
(/roll) or Grande (/rand
50-200), whichever you
declared.
d. The winner of the
roll will then be assigned
the item by the Master
Looter.
After one piece of loot is
claimed, the process will
start over again for the
next piece of loot dropped.
Please do not complain about
losing a Grande Roll....
they are not designed to be
for sure things.
e. Do not ever roll on
an item you cannot or will
not use.
I.E. class-specific items or
reagents. |
4. Non guild members
Anyone who accompanies us from
another guild will be bound to the
Burrito loot system while in the
raid. Yes, this means that if
you are out of the guild, you will
be treated exactly as though you are
*in* the guild and will receive 1
Grande Roll per instance reset.
